About me
English was not always easy for me. In fact, it was a struggle for most of my childhood and teenage years. I started learning English when I was six, had private tutors, studied it at school, and yet by the age of 20 I still only had the basics.
Everything changed when I decided to stop trying to speak perfect English.
In 2021, I moved to the United States with an A2 level of English and decided to simply figure it out. I started talking to people without worrying about every mistake I made. Within just four months, I went from A2 to B2.
What made the difference? Nobody was judging me for making mistakes.
Living in the US taught me something that years of studying English never had: making mistakes does not mean that you are bad at a language. Actually, having the courage to speak another language is something to be proud of.
By speaking not only with Americans, but with people from many different cultures, I learned how to communicate naturally and confidently — even with an accent, even when I didn’t know the perfect word, and even when I made mistakes. I also learned that everyone makes mistakes, including native English speakers.
Today, my English is at a C2 level and has become such a natural part of my life that it feels almost like a second mother tongue.
This is the approach I want to bring into my lessons.
My lessons focus heavily on communication. I want you to actually use English, not just memorize rules. Depending on your age, level and goals, I will personalize our lessons so that they work for you. We can focus on conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, schoolwork, everyday English, or simply building the confidence to speak.
My primary professional background is in childcare, where I have learned how important individuality and trust are. Every person learns differently, and I believe a good tutor should take the time to understand the person they are teaching rather than expecting them to fit into one particular method.
Whether you are a child learning your first English words, a teenager struggling with school English, or an adult who has been afraid to speak for years, my goal is to make you feel comfortable enough to try.
You don’t need to speak perfect English before you start talking.
You start talking — and that’s how you become better.
