UK native, certified EFL teacher with B2 German, and 20+ years of producing TV behind me to help bring a little creativity and fun into lessons!

Using my past experience as a TV producer and recent experience of producing and hosting a podcast, my aim is to create classroom tasks and assignments with relatable 'entertainment value'. From teaching vocabulary or grammar in the form of a TV quiz or game show, or role-playing to working on pronunciation or listening skills in the form of a podcast or an improvised scene from a drama!

English Teaching Experience, previous to EFL qualification:

Feb–Jul 2010 English Teacher, Sphairos Sprachschule für Kinder, Munich
- Taught small groups of children of approx. 8 years old at their homes.

Dec 2009- Apr 2010 English & Drama Teacher, Sprachzentrum Süd, Holzkirchen
- Taught 8 teenagers via the writing, performing, and producing of short comedy sketches.

Jan - Feb 2009 English Teacher, Fachschule für Agrarwirtschaft, Fürth
- Taught a group of 10-15 adults in context to their vocational study.

As a recently qualified Level 5 Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language with the TEFL Academy (168 hours, Ofqual regulated and DEAC approved), my formal training covers: Lesson Planning, Classroom Management, Teaching Vocabulary and Pronunciation, Teaching Receptive and Productive skills, Teaching Grammar, Materials Development (for face-to-face and online lessons), Assessed Lesson Content for A1-C2 level students.
