Hi, I'm Emma an English as a second language (ESL) teacher and curriculum designer who helps students of every age and level speak English with real confidence. I work with complete beginners through advanced learners, and I tailor every lesson to your goals.
Whatever you're aiming for — better school grades, fluent everyday conversation, clearer pronunciation and a more natural accent, a higher exam score, or stronger English for your career — we'll build our lessons around it.
Students I work with
Young learners (elementary / primary): playful, interactive lessons that grow vocabulary, phonics, reading, and the confidence to start speaking — using games, stories, and lots of encouragement.
Teens (secondary / high school): help with grammar, writing, reading comprehension, speaking, and school and exam preparation, so students keep up in class and get ahead.
Adults & professionals: conversational English and business English for the real world — emails, meetings, presentations, negotiations, and job interviews.
Exam & certification prep: targeted strategies and practice for [IELTS / TOEFL / TOEIC / Cambridge] and other certification exams, covering every section and the skills to stay calm and perform on test day.
How my lessons are structured
Because every student is different, I start by learning your level and goals — usually in a short, relaxed first lesson where we assess where you are and map out a clear plan. After that, each lesson follows a simple, personalized structure:
A quick warm-up that gets you speaking from the very first minute
Focused work on the skills you need most — speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation
Real-world practice with materials chosen around your interests and goals
Friendly, specific feedback so you always know exactly what to work on next
Optional homework and regular progress check-ins to keep you moving forward
I teach in clear, patient English (with extra care for beginners), keep every lesson engaging and pressure-free, and adapt the pace to you. My background in curriculum and instructional design means our time together is always structured and purposeful — built for steady, measurable progress, not just conversation for its own sake.
