Teaching Approach and Lesson Structure
My approach to teaching English is student-centered, interactive, and focused on real communication. I aim to create a supportive classroom environment where students feel confident using English through speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities. I use clear explanations, visual aids, and practical examples to make lessons engaging and easy to understand.
A typical lesson begins with a short warm-up activity to review previous material and activate students’ knowledge. This may include a short discussion, vocabulary review, or a quick game related to the topic.
Next, I introduce the lesson objective and new language, such as vocabulary, grammar, or a communication skill. I present the material with clear examples and encourage students to participate by asking questions and sharing ideas.
After the presentation, students practice the new language through guided activities such as pair work, group discussions, role-plays, or worksheets. This allows them to apply what they have learned in a structured way.
The lesson then moves to communicative practice, where students use the language more freely in conversations, problem-solving tasks, or short presentations. This stage helps build fluency and confidence.
Finally, I end the lesson with a review and feedback stage, summarizing key points, correcting common mistakes, and answering questions. I may also assign a short homework task to reinforce the lesson.
This structured yet flexible approach ensures students stay engaged, understand the material clearly, and develop practical English communication skills.
