Cambridge University Graduate available for advanced English conversation & tutoring

I am a native English speaker offering online tutoring for learners of all ages and levels.

I studied Music at the University of Cambridge and also hold an A Level in English Literature, which means I can bring real depth to lessons focused on literature, arts, or cultural history if that's of interest. Having studied Latin, French and German, I have a strong grounding in grammar and how language works, providing me with the tools to explain English grammar clearly and help students understand the logic behind it.

I have spent the last five years working in publishing, so I am well placed to help with professional and workplace English, including written communication, presenting and meetings.

Most of my teaching background is in music. I have taught piano, singing, and violin to students ranging from age 6 through to adults, and this has shaped me into a patient and adaptable teacher. I'm used to breaking complex ideas down into manageable steps, adjusting my approach to suit different learners, and keeping sessions engaging and enjoyable. I also enjoyed work experience as a classroom assistant in a French school, which gave me valuable insight into how people learn languages in formal education settings and the particular challenges that come with that.
