Trilingual Language Tutor (Arabic, French, English) — Passionate About Teaching All Ages

My lessons generally follow four stages: 1. Warm-up / review — I start by checking in with the student and briefly reviewing what we covered last time. With younger learners, like the 5-year-old I taught basic Arabic vocabulary to, this might be a quick song or repetition game to settle into the lesson. 2. Introducing the new material — I present the new vocabulary, grammar point, or concept in small, clear steps, using simple examples the student can relate to. For a young beginner this means concrete words and visuals; for an older student, like the teenager I helped with Arabic grammar, this means walking through the rule with examples before moving to practice. 3. Guided practice — The student practices the new material with my support, so I can catch mistakes early and adjust my explanation on the spot. I pay close attention to where each learner struggles and slow down or rephrase as needed — this is where adapting to each individual really matters. 4. Independent practice and wrap-up — I finish with a short activity the student does more independently, to check what's landed, and a quick recap of what we covered so the lesson ends on a clear note. I keep the structure consistent across lessons so students know what to expect, while adjusting the content and pace to their age and level — the way I taught foundational vocabulary to a 5-year-old very differently from how I coached exam-prep grammar with older students.
