My lessons are structured, interactive, and learner centred, with a strong focus on communication, clarity, and gradual skill development. Each lesson begins with clear learning objectives so students understand what they will achieve and why it matters. I typically start with a short warm up activity to activate prior knowledge and build confidence, followed by guided input where new language or concepts are introduced in a clear and accessible way.

I use a mix of teaching methods depending on the learners’ needs, including communicative language teaching, task-based learning, and scaffolded instruction. Students are encouraged to actively use the language through pair work, group discussions, role plays, and problem solving tasks. I place strong emphasis on interaction, as I believe language is best learned through meaningful use rather than passive reception.

In the practice phase, I design activities that move from controlled exercises to more open ended tasks, allowing learners to gradually gain independence. I also incorporate authentic materials where appropriate to make learning relevant and engaging. My lessons always include feedback and reflection time, helping students recognise progress and identify areas for improvement.

With over 14 years of experience in education, research, and project-based learning, as well as my work as a visiting lecturer at university level, I am experienced in adapting content for diverse age groups and learning contexts. My background in linguistics and child language development allows me to understand how learners acquire language and to adjust my teaching accordingly. I am also committed to inclusive education and ensure that all students feel supported, confident, and motivated to participate actively in the learning process.
