My teaching approach centers on practical, everyday English — helping students speak and understand the language confidently in real situations, not just memorize grammar rules. I draw on a mix of methods depending on what each student needs: a communicative approach that prioritizes real conversation over rote drills, task-based learning where students work through practical scenarios like ordering food or making small talk, and repetition with spaced review to help new vocabulary and structures actually stick. I structure lessons around clear explanations, guided practice, and plenty of speaking opportunities, adjusting the pace and content to each student's level and goals.

I believe language learning works best when students feel comfortable making mistakes, so I create a low-pressure environment where questions are welcomed and progress is celebrated at every stage. My lessons typically combine structured content — vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation — with real-world application, such as discussing everyday topics, practicing common conversational scenarios, and working through listening exercises that reflect how English is actually spoken. I also use role-plays and dialogue practice to build speaking confidence in a natural, low-stakes way, and I pay close attention to each student's individual pace, revisiting concepts as needed rather than rushing ahead.

My teaching experience includes a supervised practicum at Our Lady of Fatima High School, where I planned and delivered lessons and received hands-on feedback on classroom management, as well as VOLT training that prepared me specifically for engaging students in an online classroom setting, including managing attention, using digital tools effectively, and keeping remote learners actively involved. I bring patience and adaptability to every lesson, meeting each student where they are and helping them progress steadily toward fluency and confidence.
