In my math lessons, I focus on building a strong understanding of the underlying theory and then reinforcing it with clear, practical examples. Each lesson is typically structured as follows: Quick Review (5–10 minutes) I start by revisiting the previous topic to check understanding, answer open questions, and correct any misconceptions. Concept Explanation (15–25 minutes) I explain the new theory in a simple, step-by-step way, making sure the student understands why a method works, not just how to use it. Guided Examples (15–25 minutes) I work through well-chosen examples that show how to apply the theory to different types of problems. I solve the first examples together with the student, encouraging them to think aloud and ask questions. Independent Practice (15–25 minutes) The student then solves problems on their own, starting with basic exercises and moving to more challenging ones. I give immediate feedback, highlight common mistakes, and show efficient solution strategies. Summary & Homework (5–10 minutes) At the end of the lesson, we summarize the key ideas and I give targeted homework so the student can practice and build confidence between sessions. My goal is to make mathematics logical, approachable, and less stressful by combining clear theory with good, relatable examples and steady practice. I adapt the speed and difficulty to each student’s level to help them improve both their understanding and their grades.
