With English being such a broad language and the German curriculum covering such an array of it, I cater my lessons the specific needs of the student, going in depth on the specific area required rather then touching on lots of little things.
In this process I will try an address the areas where the student struggles and find a way to articulate then in an easier manner, one of the most common issues is students who lack the ability to get there ideas out on the page. Instead of walking them through the importance of TEEL, you create a way to explain this in a way that works for them.
EG: For students who are athletes, you put it into terms of the sport of their choice, its the gameplan, the lineup, the formation etc. For more creative art students it is the brief, the pre-production etc. While this isn't unique by any means I find that creating a more personal learning experience that intrigues the students is better then straight up information overload on topics they really do not care about.
Every student is different and enjoys different ways of being taught, that's why I enjoy seeing students regularly and find by the second and third lessons I have better strategies to get the points across and deliver a better lesson for them.
On top of English, I can also teach guitar and media to a high level, so if this is something that intrigues you it can be paired in with the English as well.
