A native Chinese speaker offers private online Chinese lessons for adults, taught in English.

Hi everyone, I’m Henry! I’m from Taiwan, and now I live in the Netherlands. Mandarin is my native language, and I also speak fluent English and pretty decent Dutch. I’m really excited to be your Chinese teacher! My goal is to create a friendly and fun learning environment—somewhere you can stay motivated, not be afraid to make mistakes, and learn how native speakers actually use the language. I'm also really into language learning myself, and I’m currently studying foreign languages too. So I totally get that there are ups and downs—it’s not always easy to stay motivated. That’s why I’ll be here to cheer you on, share my own experiences, and encourage you along the way. I believe the best way to learn a language is through lots of meaningful context and real-life content (Comprehensible Input). That’s how I learn languages myself, that's also how I can help you with (I can share with you lots of interesting Chinese learning materials). In addition to having quality input for learning the language, language retrieval is also important. That's also how I can be handy for you as well! I’m a pretty international person. (I’ve lived in four different countries, traveled to over 30, and over the past decade, I’ve worked with colleagues from more than 50 different countries. So I’m very used to—and genuinely enjoy—connecting with people from all kinds of cultural backgrounds.) I’m sure we’ll be able to chat naturally and easily. In our conversations, I can help you with your pronunciation, tones, and word choices—getting you closer to how native speakers actually talk. I love exploring the world, and for me, learning languages and cultures — and connecting with people through language — is the best way to do it.
