👋🏻 Hi! I’m Regina, and I bring a fresh, high-energy approach to English tutoring.
At 23, I’ve already completed my Master’s degree, but I’m far from your typical rigid academic. Having grown up immersed in English-speaking communities, the language isn't just a subject to me... 🕺🏼it’s my lifestyle.
With two years of experience teaching everyone from curious children to professional adults, I’ve found my "sweet spot" with kids and teens. Because I’m close to them in age, I speak their "life language." I understand their world, their interests, and the pressures they face, making my lessons feel less like a chore and more like a conversation with a mentor.
✨ How I Can Help
➣ Homework & School Support: Taking the stress out of daily assignments.
➣ Exam Preparation: Strategic guidance to help you nail upcoming tests with confidence.
➣ Conversational Fluency: Building the "vibrant English" skills used in the real world.
➣ Literacy & Grammar: Strengthening the foundations for younger learners.
📚 My Lesson Structure
No two students are the same, so I personalize every session. However, a typical 60-minute "vibrant" lesson usually follows this flow:
1. The "Connection" Kick-off
We start with a high-energy check-in. This is where we chat about their week or interests in English. It warms up the brain and builds the comfort level needed to take risks with the language.
2. The Priority Focus
We tackle the "heavy lifting" first, whether that’s a difficult homework assignment, an essay draft, or preparing for an upcoming exam. I use relatable metaphors to make complex grammar or literature concepts stick.
3. Skill Deep-Dive
We move away from textbooks and into active learning. This could be interactive vocabulary games, analyzing a song/video they like, or practicing a specific speaking skill.
4. Recap & Confidence Boost
We wrap up by summarizing what we learned. I provide a "mission" for the week (a small, fun task) and ensure the student feels empowered and ready for their next school day.
🧐 My Philosophy: I believe students learn best when they are engaged, not just lectured. I’m here to bridge the gap between "classroom English" and "real-life English."
