My tutoring approach is built on the belief that math is a language—once you understand the underlying logic, the formulas become tools rather than obstacles. Here is how I structure our time together:
Assessment & Goal Setting: In our first session, we identify the student’s specific pain points and current goals (e.g., catching up on curriculum, preparing for a specific exam, or building long-term confidence).
Logical Breakdown: I don't just solve problems for the student. I break complex mathematical concepts into manageable, logical steps. By connecting abstract formulas to real-world engineering examples from my own professional experience, I help make the "why" behind the math clear.
Active Problem Solving: Once the concept is explained, we move to active practice. I guide the student through exercises, gradually decreasing my assistance as their confidence and independence grow.
Closing & Knowledge Check: We end each lesson with a brief review of the key takeaway to ensure the concept has been fully grasped. If needed, I provide targeted "mini-challenges" for practice before our next meeting.
Flexible Support: I am happy to help with homework assignments, exam preparation, or bridging gaps in foundational knowledge from previous years.
My goal is to create a supportive, pressure-free environment where questions are always encouraged and every "Aha!" moment is celebrated.
