I focus mainly on conversational and listening skills. However, I am able to teach grammar, reading, and writing. I can also proofread essays, college applications, and revise resumes. I utilize a lot of media and real life examples in my lessons, and I try to cater my material to each student's needs and interests.
I have previously taught in-person and online with most of my experience being with high school students, university students, and adults. I have tutored one-on-one and taught in classes of 30 or more students. Additionally, I have instructed beginners with no previous knowledge all the way to advanced. I have been a teacher in South Korea, Thailand, and the USA.
I also have extensive culinary training and can advise on baking/pastry and food safety knowledge as well as crafting coffee. Besides those skills, I can teach students to read music and have previously played three different instruments in addition to some vocal training. I write as a hobby and frequently have students do creative writing or answer open-ended, thought provoking questions in class.
While I currently only offer online lessons, I am willing to move to in-person lessons if students are located within a certain distance of me. This can be discussed at a later date when we are both comfortable with how lessons are progressing.
I am open to doing corporate/business trainings depending on class size and duration.
I ask that students make their learning goals clear in our first meeting, and I will take a survey of your interests and ask some questions to assess your English level.
I conduct my lessons entirely in English. It is proven that the best way to learn a language is through immersion, so I ask all students to only use English as well for the duration of the lesson.
