I organize my lessons in a structured and purposeful way to ensure learning objectives are achieved while addressing students’ different learning needs. I begin by identifying the lesson outcomes and key objectives, then select appropriate activities and teaching strategies based on students’ varying ability levels, particularly as I teach Arabic to non-native speakers from Year 1 to Year 10.
I ensure that each lesson is divided into clear stages, including:
* Introducing and linking the lesson to students’ prior knowledge and experiences.
* Delivering content through interactive strategies and modern teaching techniques.
* Providing individual and group activities to develop reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
* Applying differentiated instruction to support students with different learning needs, including intervention sessions for struggling learners.
* Using ongoing assessment during lessons through questioning, discussions, and practical activities, while providing constructive feedback to help students improve.
I also integrate 21st-century skills into my lessons and strive to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence. As a Head of Department and teacher development trainer, I also contribute to developing educational materials and collaborating with colleagues to ensure high-quality teaching and strong academic outcomes for students.
