I am an English tutor supporting confidence, academic skills, and preparation for English-taught universities

My name is Matina and I hold a Master’s degree in Intercultural Communication, a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Dutch universities, and a TESOL language teaching certificate.

I have 1.5 years of experience teaching and supporting English learners aged 6 to 15, as well as tutoring undergraduate students in the social sciences.

What you can expect from my lessons is adaptability to the student’s needs and objectives, interactive exercises that build transferable language skills and confidence, and the use of structured materials such as books and slides.

My goal is to help students not only improve their English, but also feel confident using it in academic, professional, and everyday contexts. I teach students from A1 to C2 level and also support students transitioning to English-taught university programmes, focusing on academic vocabulary, reading and discussing academic texts, and improving essay and presentation skills.
