I’m a native English speaker from the U.S., now based in Lisbon, with over 20 years of experience as a writer, editor, and storyteller. I offer private English lessons focused on real-world language use – whether you need help with schoolwork, speaking fluently, or preparing for exams or work.

I am also passionate about helping writers find their voice in their chosen genre, either in creative writing, screenwriting, playwriting, poetry or any non-fiction essays or journalism. I would love to read your work!

My lessons are relaxed but well-structured. I explain things clearly and adjust to your learning style. We will work on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and writing – but always in a way that feels practical and relevant. I use conversation, media, short texts and real examples to keep things interesting and engaging.

I specialize in helping learners gain confidence in speaking and writing, improve fluency through authentic situation-based conversations and sound more natural in both spoken and written English.
