Arabic and English teacher with extensive writing and language teaching experience.

I am Redwan, a journalist with BA (Hons) in Journalism from the University of Gloucestershire. My native language is Arabic, and I have extensive teaching experience in both English and Arabic. I tone up learners' language skills by giving extra focus on using the right gramatical structure in both languages, keeping an eye on unifying the style of language they speak. So, when a student have a conversation with me in English, I observe the vocabulary they use closely: have they said a correct sentence, grammar wise? Do I need to interfere and correct them? Did they use a unified style (British vs Anerican)? Did they mix formal and informal vocabulary in a way that may sound off to the ear in written or spoken English? And so on. In Arabic, I do the same, adding extra explanation about the nuances in dialects spoken across the Arab world, in an easy way for the learner to absorb, without stuffing their brain with all the info at once that might make them worry about levelling up in their language learning journeys. 🙂
