Amina Aldubouni

With over a decade of teaching experience across all grade levels, I’ve journeyed from first-grade phonics to final-year university applications — and I’ve genuinely loved every step of it. I currently teach English, Arabic, and Theory of Knowledge (TOK) within an international school environment, where I focus on sparking curiosity, encouraging critical thinking, and building meaningful relationships with students.
My teaching approach is dynamic, interactive, and strongly student-centred. I believe learning should be engaging, memorable, and tailored to the individual learner. Whether through discussions, visual storytelling, collaborative projects, or personalized support, I aim to create classrooms where students feel confident, challenged, and genuinely involved in their learning process.
Over the years, I have contributed to curriculum development, designed Arabic programmes for non-native speakers, supported personalized learning initiatives, and helped co-develop wellbeing concepts for IB students. I have also taken on leadership roles including Head of English Department, Chair of the Teachers’ Council, and Intercultural Coordinator, experiences that strengthened my communication, collaboration, and organizational skills within diverse international environments.
Beyond academics, I care deeply about creating positive learning experiences that students carry with them long after leaving the classroom.
At the core of every lesson I plan is one simple question:
“If I were the student, would this be fun?”
