My teaching style is friendly, patient, and highly interactive. I specialise in the communicative approach, which means that students do not simply memorise vocabulary or grammar rules. Instead, they practise using each new word, sentence pattern, or grammar point immediately in meaningful conversations.
In my lessons, new language is introduced through practical situations such as introducing yourself, ordering food, making plans, shopping, travelling, or talking about daily life. After learning a new expression, students use it straight away through guided questions, role plays, picture-based activities, and short conversations. This helps learners understand when and how to use Chinese naturally.
I create a relaxed and supportive classroom atmosphere where students feel comfortable speaking and making mistakes. I provide clear explanations, pronunciation demonstrations, tone correction, and personalised feedback without interrupting communication unnecessarily. For beginners, I combine Pinyin, pronunciation, useful sentence patterns, and Chinese characters step by step. For HSK learners, I connect exam vocabulary and grammar with real-life communication so that students can both prepare for the test and use Chinese outside the classroom.
Each lesson is adapted to the student’s level, interests, and goals. My aim is for students to leave every class with language they can use immediately, rather than knowledge that remains only in a textbook.
