I am to fully immerse myself in students by encouraging them to try fully expressing themselves in English; mistakes are encouraged! Rather than pointing out every faulty sentence and interrupting speaking flow, we go through the most common mistakes at the end of the lesson and revise them at the beginning of the next. I offer suggestions for great reading material as well as making my own flashcards for students who I think will benefit. For younger students, descriptive stories and fun games are my go-to methods!
My teaching environment is warm, encouraging, and never unnecessarily strict. Stress hinders learning, so instead I approach difficulties with support and usage of alternative learning methods. Not everyone learns the same, which is why I pride myself in tailoring each of my lessons to the individuality of each student.
