My approach is relaxed, supportive, and focused on helping people feel more comfortable actually using English. I’m not coming at this like a strict classroom teacher, and I think that can be especially helpful for students who feel nervous, overthink things, or just want a more natural way to improve. My focus is on conversation, confidence, pronunciation, vocabulary, and sounding more natural in everyday English.

I adapt each lesson depending on the student’s level, goals, and what they need most. For some people that might be conversation practice, while for others it could be help with fluency, finding the right words, expanding vocabulary, or feeling less stuck when speaking. I’d want lessons to feel useful, encouraging, and low-pressure, while still giving students clear support and feedback.

As a native English speaker from New Zealand, I can also help with natural phrasing and understanding how English is really used in day-to-day life. My aim is less formal teaching and more helping students build confidence, improve steadily, and feel at ease using English in real situations.

I can also support students who want to practise speaking regularly in a relaxed setting without feeling judged. Sometimes having space to talk, make mistakes, ask questions, and be gently corrected is the most helpful thing. I’d like lessons to feel friendly and approachable, while still helping students become more confident, natural, and comfortable with English over time.

In short, I’m happy to keep lessons flexible and shape them around what feels most useful for each student.
