I mostly teach Math according to the topic and increase the difficulty of the questions only if the student can answer all the previous questions correctly. I also have a habit of asking of the students to write down the steps in their calculation as it is very important to understand how the student is thinking, should the student give wrong answers. I make sure that the basic concepts in Math are clear. I also explain a little bit of history as how mathematicians have derived equations and units for a better understanding and wholistic view. Through my teaching experience I have found out students understand the concept but face difficulty in remembering concepts and thus a constant revision is necessary. I make sure that the topic are revised and integrated in upcoming topics so that the students do not forget. For example while teaching the concept of Volume, I would also include Area and Perimeter. While teaching 9th grade Trigonometry I will include Geometric concepts form 7th and 8th grade as well.

I am also an English language teacher. English can be a difficult language to learn, especially for bilingual students. I myself speak 4 languages and understand that language can be learnt through continuous reading, listening and speaking. For my English vocabulary lessons, I choose short stories, poems and even clips form movies for better understanding. For English Grammar I have a more structured approach, but again with a lot of video references.

Overall I would say my teaching techniques are structured conventionally with modern content and tools, and I focus more on the students understanding of the topic.
