I worked as volunteer teacher of English and German while pursuing my undergraduate degree. Additionally, I have had private tutorship for many teenagers, most of whom are in highschool level. Though most of my students have found my in-person lessons to be more insightful, I have also had a provision for teaching students online.
My model of teaching per lesson is faceted in 3 parts;

1. Theoretical overview - this is where we explore the grammatical structures of the study material and the emphasis is on getting the correct foundational understanding of topic of discussion.

2. Case studies - Here, I bring to the attention of the learner, various applications of the grammatical rules through exciting excerpts; both text and video from popular sources such as movies or radio and television presentation.

3. Active questions and reconciliation - Unlike the conventional 'ask I answer' model used by most tutors, my approach is to enable the learner to develop a skill of not only asking a question, but thinking actively of what the outcome could be and this will guide them asking better questions. This is also appropriate for expanding their cognitive abilities and accelarates their knowledge retention by 30 percent than the conventional structure.

My model is; the tutor is just a guide and the student is the real driver. I curate study materials that the learner will use in their own time before the next class and our meetings will be more about polishing the skills learn't in private study.
