I have experience working mostly with adults. During my CELTA, I have acquired numerous skills in teaching adults, designing the most interactive lessons designed for the learner's needs. Moreover, I have been teaching a few English lessons online for about a year on a freelance platform.

My online lessons are engaging. Despite their main focus on the lesson (either reading, listening, vocabulary or grammar), it always includes at least one speaking activity. My goal is to build confidence and offer enough visual/ audio material/ helpful vocabulary so that the learner manages to speak English effortlessly. I believe games, diagrams, pictures are great ways to get to speak English no matter the learner's age.

My lessons rely on slides, handouts, videos, audio materials and books. The focus is always on the learner. A few methods that I use are Test-Teach-Test or Guided Discovery exercises (for grammar, vocabulary), reading/listening for gist/for details and always fluency/accuracy exercises. Regardless, I always tend to keep things simple and prioritize the student, encouraging studying one topic at at time. I believe English can be fun, too! Anyone can speak English as long as they have the motivation and the right support.
