My name is Athulya, I'm 22 year's old and I am currently pursuing my Master's in Sociology. I have teaching and mentoring experience with students from different academic backgrounds. I have taught 10th-grade students, provided guidance and question-answer sessions for friends preparing for UPSC examinations, and regularly tutored my classmates in Sociology and other Humanities subjects. These experiences have strengthened my ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and engaging manner.
My lessons are interactive, structured, and student-centered. I begin by assessing students' existing knowledge and then connect the topic to real-life examples and current social issues. I encourage active participation through discussions, critical thinking exercises, case studies, and question-answer sessions.
For Sociology students, I focus on building conceptual clarity, sociological imagination, analytical thinking, and examination-oriented preparation. For students from other disciplines, I adapt my teaching style to their learning needs and relate concepts to their academic and personal experiences.
Each lesson follows a clear structure: introduction, concept explanation, discussion, practice questions, and a summary of key takeaways. I believe learning is most effective when students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing their ideas.
My goal is to create an engaging and supportive learning environment that helps students develop confidence, improve academic performance, and cultivate a genuine interest in learning without losing their passion.
