I have been tutoring students with English As a Second Language for over six years, helping them to improve their writing voice and improve their abilities to realize their writing goals. I have taught students with from a variety of academic and social backgrounds, helping them feel comfortable so that we can work together to create sustaining strategies for their writing development in English.

My History teaching experience includes assisting students with the understanding of academic concepts in order to confidently produce academic essays. I can assist with building your academic paper from brain-storming sessions to final drafts and edits, giving you the organizational skills needed to fulfill your class and program requirements.

Additionally, my skillset is focused on late-modern and contemporary history. I use comparative methods and methodologies to incorporate interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary methodologies from Gender Studies, Queer Theory, and Sociology, combined with critical methods. These give me the necessary skills to help students understand abstract concepts through dialogue, and I use visual aids like digital white boards and Canva.

In summation, the difficulties with academic writing come from lack of organizational strategies and writing process strategies. Therefore, I help give students the tools needed to develop their own time management skills, helping them build and understand what is reasonable in order to reach their writing goals. I will help you create and manage your own writing deadlines, ensuring that you are able to confidently produce the necessary work to finish your essay, thesis, or even homework.
