I have taught small children and sometimes pre-teenagers throughout my high school experience, continuing onto university. In America, where I have lived all my life, I have gotten my associates degree in English and Arts, which primarily consists of English literature, history, and the language in professional/formal writing and learning proper wording for speech and debate.

I teach children English as a language and English as an art (essay writing, speech and debate, vocabulary and grammar, spelling, literature) as well keeping in mind any specific learning needs. Many children struggle with motivation for homework or learning a new language. My goal is to make it a memorable experience, to make it easier and more fun for them to learn.

If a child is encouraged to learn in the way that is more suitable for them, they will thrive. Every child learns differently and must be treated with kindness and patience. I combine these teachings to help your child learn what motivates them, and of course, to help them understand English as a language and an art.

It is easiest for me and the child to have one on one sessions as I can focus on this child, get to know who they are as a person, their needs and wants, strengths and struggles. It can make it less stressful on the child as well that they work with one friendly and easygoing student, as well. I am not too easygoing, of course, I prioritize the child's comfort in learning and comfort with the tutor, me. Any behaviorial issues will be met with kind firmness.

As mentioned, children are to be treated with kindness and patience. There is kind firm teachings for children who struggle more emotionally. I've had the most experience with roudy primary school children who don't want to do homework and just want to play.
If I turn their homework into play, it can make them more motivated and comfortable.
