Saurabh Gangwar

I recently completed my Master’s degree in Physics at Friedrich-Alexander University (FAU), Erlangen and I am very interested in teaching Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science. I enjoy explaining scientific concepts, solving numerical problems, and helping students develop analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

My Master’s thesis was titled:

“On The Shapiro Delay in a Moving Medium in the Context of Pulsar Timing behind a Black Hole”

which was based on Advanced Quantum Mechanics and General Relativity.

In addition to my academic coursework, I completed three internships and research projects involving theoretical physics, programming, and data analysis:

1. Theoretical study of photon and particle accelerators with varying electric fields using Python, MS Excel, and LaTeX.

2. Theoretical study of anti-reflection coatings for improving light absorption in silicon solar cells using Python programming and MS Excel.

3. Subject Matter Expert in Physics with experience in numerical problem solving and explaining physics concepts.

I also worked on a machine learning project focused on separating gamma-ray and hadron events using Python with deep learning.

Additionally, I:
• Qualified the Heidelberg University interview process
• Qualified the IIT JAM entrance examination for MSc admission
• Delivered a presentation on Primordial Black Holes
• Wrote a review article on “Origins and Demographics of Wandering Black Holes”

Through these experiences, I developed strong analytical, computational, and communication skills. I am passionate about teaching and would be excited to contribute to students’ learning in Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science.
