Salma Rais

I am currently studying for a Master’s degree in Chemical Biotechnology at the Technical University of Munich, after completing a Bachelor’s degree in Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology. I have always enjoyed teaching, helping others understand difficult topics, and working with students of different ages.

I have previous experience teaching Chemistry and Biology to high-school students, teaching English to younger children, and supporting university students as a Teaching Assistant and student mentor. I have also regularly helped my younger sister and cousins with their school subjects. These experiences have taught me how important patience, clear explanations, and adapting to each student’s individual needs are.

For English, French, and Arabic, I structure my lessons according to the student’s age, current level, and personal goals. I usually begin by identifying the areas they would like to improve and then adapt the lessons accordingly.

My lessons can include vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, pronunciation, and conversation practice. For younger students, I keep the lessons interactive and simple, using short exercises, examples, and conversation activities. For older students, I can also focus on homework support, school assignments, exam preparation, writing, and improving speaking confidence.

I like to explain concepts step by step and make sure the student understands them before moving on. I encourage questions throughout the lesson and always try to create a friendly and comfortable environment where students are not afraid of making mistakes.

My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them become more confident, independent, and comfortable using the language.
