My teaching is based on a student-centered approach, meaning I adapt each lesson to the individual needs, goals, and learning style of the student. I use a combination of communicative language teaching and task-based learning, which focus on real-world communication, critical thinking, and active participation. I strongly believe that students learn best when they feel supported, challenged, and engaged in a meaningful learning process.
Depending on the learner's objectives, my lessons may include:
Speaking and pronunciation exercises
Grammar and vocabulary development
Listening and reading comprehension
Business or academic English
Preparation for interviews, presentations, or exams
Creative methods such as storytelling, role-playing, and multimedia
For younger learners, I incorporate interactive, playful, and visually engaging activities that foster natural language acquisition and build confidence in a supportive environment.
I integrate a range of digital tools including Zoom, Google Classroom, Canva, and multimedia resources to create dynamic, structured, and engaging lessons. Each session is planned with clear goals and is adapted as needed based on the student’s progress. I also provide feedback, progress tracking, and suggestions for self-study.
I have over five years of international teaching experience, having worked with learners of various ages. I also have experience working and studying in the United States, France, Italy, and Scotland which provides me with an international perspective. I hold a Master’s degree in TEFL/TESOL, alongside specialized certifications in teaching business English, grammar, young learners, and online instruction. I have also taught and supported learners in creative and cultural institutions, including museums and non-profit educational organizations.
In addition to my English language teaching qualifications, I bring strong multilingual skills to my lessons. I am a native speaker of both English and Italian, speak advanced French, and have elementary proficiency in Spanish. This allows me to better support learners from diverse language backgrounds and draw on comparisons between languages where helpful.
Overall, I aim to create a learning atmosphere that is professional, motivating, and culturally rich, with a focus on developing practical communication skills and lasting confidence in English.
