Peter Wachira

I am a passionate and dedicated Mathematics educator with approximately 30 years of secondary-school teaching experience and a Bachelor of Education degree from Egerton University in Kenya.

I help students understand Mathematics clearly, build confidence, and develop strong problem-solving skills. My teaching is patient, structured and learner-centred. I explain concepts step by step and use simple explanations, worked examples and real-life situations to make Mathematics easier to understand and remember.

I can support secondary-school learners with topics such as algebra, equations, geometry, statistics, arithmetic, functions, problem solving and examination preparation. I adapt my lessons to the learner's current level, identify areas of difficulty, and gradually build understanding and confidence.

Over my teaching career, I have taught learners with different abilities and learning needs. I have also mentored students and supported them in improving their academic performance.

My goal is not simply to help students get the correct answer, but to help them understand how and why the solution works so that they can solve similar problems independently.

I offer online Mathematics lessons and welcome students who need additional support, exam preparation, or simply want to become more confident in Mathematics. I particularly enjoy helping learners who feel that Mathematics is difficult or confusing. I create a supportive learning environment where students can ask questions freely, make mistakes, and learn from them. I can also help learners prepare systematically for tests and examinations by identifying gaps in their understanding and developing practical strategies for improvement.
