I specialise in helping German native speakers strengthen their communication skills in English. My lessons focus on developing confidence, fluency, vocabulary, pronunciation, and the ability to communicate naturally and effectively in professional, academic, and creative environments.

As a Principal Lecturer at BIMM Berlin, I work with degree-level students every day, supporting them in presenting ideas, participating in discussions, improving written work, and communicating clearly in English. This experience allows me to tailor lessons to each student's individual goals, whether for corporate communication, university preparation, career development, public speaking, or simply becoming a more confident English speaker.

My approach goes beyond traditional language teaching. Drawing on my experience as an interviewer, writer, cultural researcher, and educator, I help students develop the skills needed to express themselves clearly, persuasively, and authentically in English. My wider professional background includes co-producing documentaries for the BBC, authoring books, creating podcasts, and writing journalism. This enables me to bring practical experience in storytelling, interviewing, presentation skills, critical thinking, and professional communication into my teaching.
