I'm Patrick, and I can teach overall linguistic competence in English online using a variety of learner-tailored methods and assessments, to prepare you for whatever you need.

With a 10-year background in education, and 20 years in IT, I can also assist with any IT or pedagogical training you may need.

I have a background in politics and journalism as well, so I know how to convey a message well and convince an audience. If you are looking to sell yourself at interview, or even just how to converse amicably and competently in the workplace, I can help you.

Creative writing is another strength I can bring in any other language I speak (Dutch, Flemish), so if you need a little proofreading or support there – perhaps just another eye to look over it – I can assist with that as well.

Because of my work in broadcast television, I can also help you with how to prepare for a live broadcast: what to expect, how to go about it and how to deal with the unexpected! My approach has always been to be pragmatic, yet 'punchy' where necessary. Knowing how to tell the difference is a major part of this, and it only comes through experience and 'received wisdom'.

Owing to my further youth support background, I am also mainly keen to work with younger learners, but I can help you if you're in your 60s too.
