Omotola Siyanbola

I am a native English speaker based in Istanbul with five years of experience teaching English to secondary school students, and I would welcome the chance to join your school with more than a great number of years of experience in quality education.

At Halifield Schools in Lagos, I planned and taught CEFR-aligned English lessons that developed students' speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. I adapted lessons to different levels, designed interactive projects and gave regular feedback to students and parents. Many of my students were afraid of speaking English, so I focused on building their confidence through phonics, literature and verbal communication lessons, and they improved significantly. I also started monthly quizzes and debate competitions that encouraged students to use English actively.

I hold an American TESOL certification, which supports my approach to lesson planning and classroom methodology. I have taught online as well as in person, using Microsoft Teams and Adobe Connect, so I can work in either format. Outside the classroom, I have taught and mentored photography students for over a decade. That work has strengthened my ability to explain concepts clearly, assess practical work and support each learner's progress.

I know that the role calls for someone who is student-focused, responsible and a good team member. I enjoy working with colleagues to keep a programme consistent, and I can adapt to a fixed timetable. I am available for either full-time or part-time work.
