My lessons are structured around clear objectives, practical language use, and active learner engagement. Each lesson is designed to help students use English confidently and effectively in real-life situations, rather than focusing on theory alone.
I begin with a short warm-up discussion or task connected to the learner’s goals or interests. This activates prior knowledge, sets the context for the lesson, and encourages immediate communication in English.
The main part of the lesson focuses on developing specific language skills—such as vocabulary, grammar, or functional expressions—presented in context. Drawing on my experience in communication-focused and international environments, I explain language clearly and concisely, emphasising natural usage and common patterns rather than abstract rules.
This is followed by guided practice, where students apply new language through structured tasks. As confidence grows, I move to freer speaking activities such as discussions or role-plays, allowing learners to use English independently and build fluency. Throughout the lesson, I provide focused feedback that supports accuracy while maintaining motivation.
Each lesson ends with brief reflection and targeted feedback, reinforcing key points and identifying areas for improvement. When relevant, I suggest follow-up practice to support continued progress.
My experience teaching adult learners online, combined with my background in research and professional communication, enables me to structure lessons that are organised, adaptable, and learner-centred. This approach ensures that lessons are efficient, engaging, and directly aligned with each student’s needs.
