Muhammad Hamza

I have more than fourteen years of experience in higher education, teaching, research, supervision, and academic administration. My teaching experience includes undergraduate and postgraduate instruction at Al-Muthanna University, Al-Kadhum College, and Al-Qadisiyah University. My areas of specialization include Applied Linguistics, TESOL/TEFL, Pragmatics, Discourse Analysis, Research Methodology, Academic Writing, Translation, Phonetics, and Grammar.

My teaching philosophy is based on student-centered learning, critical thinking, and the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical application. I employ a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, interactive discussions, collaborative learning, problem-solving activities, presentations, and project-based learning. I also integrate digital technologies and multimedia resources into my teaching to enhance students' engagement and learning outcomes.

Throughout my career, I have taught both English-major and non-English-major students, delivering courses such as Linguistics, Pragmatics, Academic Writing, Research Methodology, Listening and Speaking, Translation, and TESOL. In addition, I have supervised more than one hundred undergraduate research projects and taught postgraduate students in English and other disciplines.
My teaching dynamics emphasize active participation, learner autonomy, and collaborative learning. I encourage students to engage in discussions, presentations, and research activities that develop their analytical and communication skills. Beyond teaching, I have held several administrative positions, including Head of the English Department and chair of scientific and examination committees, experiences that have strengthened my leadership and organizational abilities.
