Meltem Kiran

I am a graduate of Istanbul University, Department of English Language and Literature, and I obtained my TESOL certification in 2020. I have over eight years of experience teaching English in a wide range of educational settings, including private schools, online platforms, and language schools.

In private schools, I worked with diverse student populations, adapting my teaching methods to meet varying learning needs. I have also gained substantial experience teaching English through online platforms, where I developed strong skills in designing engaging, interactive, and effective virtual lessons that keep students motivated and actively involved in a remote learning environment.

My experience in language schools further strengthened my ability to plan and deliver both group and one-on-one lessons with a strong focus on practical language use, helping students build confidence in speaking and writing. Currently, I work as a lecturer teaching Academic English to university students, combining traditional teaching approaches with innovative digital tools to enhance learning outcomes.

I am a native Turkish speaker and fluent in English. My experience teaching adults, teenagers, and young learners at various proficiency levels, in both Academic and General English courses, enables me to connect with students effectively and create a supportive, communicative learning environment.I am highly motivated, adaptable, and committed to continuous professional development, regularly updating my teaching practices to align with current methodologies and learner-centered approaches while fostering critical thinking and independent learning skills among my students.
