I am an intentional teacher. For me, lessons matter, but so is patience, connections, and mutual growth of both students and the teacher, consequently the entire learning community. I am very particular on the holistic development of every student under my watch. To say that I am passionate about children is an understatement. I believe in the capacity of each and every child to learn, as tabula rasa, and that inclusive education for all negates impairment brought by race, economic status, mental deficiency, or physical disability.
Waldorf's, Bloom's, and Maslow's are my anchors in teaching. Decades of tutoring and years of being a licensed teacher, exposed me to a broad spectrum of learners. My engagements with them affirmed significant variables, one being the reinforcement of my belief to the educational principle that the primary years are the most decisive period for introducing learning interventions. However, this is not a negation of the fact that learning knows no age. As the cliche' goes 'life is a learning process' and indeed I am as excited to learn as to teach, one big lesson at a time.
In each classroom session I conduct, whether in-person or online and regardless of the learners' age group, I take it upon myself to customized and prepare engaging lessons that not only motivates my learners to learn more, but also inspires me, the teacher, to teach better. Ending each day with renewed anticipation of another meaningful engagement with my learners, reflects the lasting fulfillment I find in teaching.
