Hey there! I’m MaryEllen, an English tutor from Ireland who loves keeping things real, relaxed, and practical. I specialise in helping students improve their speaking skills through fun, interactive lessons that focus on real conversation, pronunciation, role play, and modern slang — basically, the stuff you’ll actually use in real life!

Whether you're preparing for travel, work, or just want to sound more natural and confident in casual chats, I’m here to help you feel comfortable speaking English in any situation. We’ll practise conversations you’d have at a café, at work, with friends, or even online — no stiff, endless, boring textbook stuff here, just real-world English that sticks.

One of my favourite ways to teach is through role playing real-life situations. It's a great way to learn how native speakers actually talk, and it's also a lot of fun and super effective. We’ll work on pronunciation together so you sound clear and confident, and I’ll teach you common expressions, idioms, and slang that’ll help you understand and connect better with native speakers — the kind of English that doesn’t always show up in textbooks.
