For learning a new language, I believe it is essential that vocabulary aligns with each student’s interests, goals, and real-life needs. When learners can immediately connect new words to their own experiences, motivation increases and retention becomes more natural. That is why I design individualized learning plans, carefully adapting content, pace, and methods to each student’s profile. I also take into account their learning preferences and previous experiences with language learning to maximize effectiveness.
In my teaching approach, I intentionally guide students toward the edge of their comfort zone. This balance is crucial: they should feel confident using what they already know, while being gently challenged with new vocabulary, structures, and communicative situations. By doing so, I create an environment where mistakes are seen as a natural and valuable part of the learning process, not something to fear. I actively encourage curiosity and questions throughout this process.
I also prioritize meaningful interaction. Rather than focusing only on grammar rules, I encourage students to actively use the language through discussions, role plays, and practical scenarios that reflect real-life communication. This helps them build not only linguistic competence but also confidence and spontaneity.
Ultimately, my goal is to provide a learning experience that is engaging, personalized, and effective—one that empowers students to communicate authentically and continuously grow in their language journey.
