In my lessons, I like to provide immersive conversation combined with a focus on learning through literature and media. Based on the age, skill level, and interests of my students, we will talk through clips and excerpts of texts in English in order to use real-life examples to gather critical vocabulary and build a grammatical understanding that reflects actual usage by native speakers. As a Master's student in Literature with years of teaching assistant and tutoring experience, I feel confident in my ability to tailor my lessons to each student's needs, while also offering supplementary traditional study methods to build up vocabulary and grammar knowledge via flashcards and worksheets. My goal is to balance individual needs and interests with my strong foundational understanding of methods that actively work to support language learning, centering conversational immersion, engagement with literature and media, and supplementing this with related worksheets and flashcard sets to break things down and understand the rules behind them.
