I have experience in teaching both Ghanaian and the British Cambridge education syllabus . I have taught Ghanaian syllabus for over 7 years. I have about 6 months experience in teaching British Cambridge syllabus as well. I attend trainings and workshops to upgrade myself in my professional career. I employ various resources and methods in teaching English through helping build the confidence of students whenever they communicate in the language. I strongly believe employing online tools and resources can help in guiding learners to use the language. I studied Literature as part of my bachelor’s degree program. I use stories and real life scenarios in teaching my students of which produces effective results since learners are able to relate to the contexts. Reading stories can also be a way learners enhance their speaking and writing abilities. I encourage learners to write their own stories or act in scenes in whatever way that will make them comfortable to ensure learning has taken place. I also use different assessment methods to know the strengths of learners before introducing lessons to learners. Assessment is also done after lessons to find out how learners grasped the concept during the learning process. Lessons are repeated to learners who had challenges. I believe English is a language and learners should be given the opportunity to speak as the instructor guides their efforts. This will give them the confidence in both speech and writing. I will be to be given the opportunity to guide learners in learning English.
