My teaching method is made up of two elemental parts: practical & theoretical.
1) Practical: We learn the basic and advanced rules of English grammar, which we apply to our daily routine, both in informal and formal settings. This includes: having a basic conversation with an English native speaker, writing emails & texts that we send to our friends & colleagues, and finally writing essays in the education sphere.
2) Theoretical: this is the part where we practice our intellectual capabilities of analyzing & rationally thinking of the various works we read. It's all about thinking in English, while reading the great works of English literature: from Shakespeare to Hemingway, and being able to understand what questions and themes these works raise in our culture. This is also the part where we get to discuss these works and even debate them.
I firmly believe that the combination of practical & theoretical learning will help students learn English to the fullest by practising the basic grammar and reading the great English literary works to become successful in the academic sphere.
