Learn English with your International English Tutor!

Hey there! I am an international student studying my master's in English. I have two years of experience teaching English privately to my patients (to help them with school assignments) as I was a certified behavior technician for children with autism.

I am fluent in English (C1, IELTS 7.5) and Farsi (Native) and have limited fluency in German (A2-B1). I have a good command of grammar in English and can also be a good speaking partner as I speak English every day with my classmates and professors. Regarding writing skills, I can be of good help due to my experience with IELTS writing (6.5) and academic writing at the university.

For German-speaking kids, I can speak German to a functional degree. However, my preference is that, depending on the level, communication would be in English as much as possible in order for the kid to find her/his own creative ways to express herself/himself using the known vocabulary pool. This, to my experience, and congruent with my psychology studies, helps the kid to memorize phrases and grammar better as more associations are formed. Yet of course, depending on the level and the teaching objective, I can be flexible.

For Farsi-speaking kids, I can also teach in Farsi but for the same reason mentioned above, I rather speak English as much as possible.
