My name is Leah and I am a TEFL certified English educator with a 120-hour Distinction qualification and over 12 years of experience working with children and learners of all ages. I have supported children's language and literacy development through play-based learning, storytelling, creative activities, and one-on-one homework support across multiple families and educational settings.
My teaching approach is warm, patient, and fully tailored to each student's individual needs and learning style. I believe every child learns differently, so I never use a one-size-fits-all method. Instead I adapt my lessons to what works best for each student — whether that means using games, visual aids, conversation practice, or structured exercises.
For younger children aged 3 to 12, I focus on building confidence, vocabulary, reading, and listening skills through fun and engaging activities. For older students and adults, I focus on grammar, writing, communication skills, and exam preparation.
I speak four languages — English, Zulu, Xhosa, and North Ndebele — which means I can support students from diverse backgrounds and help bridge language gaps more effectively. I am patient, encouraging, and genuinely passionate about helping every student reach their full potential.
