I have over 16 years of experience teaching. I have 7 years of experience as an Early Childhood educator and 6 years of experience as a Primary School teacher in Australia. I taught English as a Foreign Language in Primary and High Schools in Spain, as well as private tutoring with children, teenagers and adults, both individually and in small groups. I have volunteered teaching English in countries such as India, Tanzania, Kiribati and Nicaragua.

As an experienced teacher of English as a Foreign Language, I motivate students to use English effectively in their daily communication through language immersion that is authentic and provides constructive and timely feedback. All of the lessons are conducted entirely in English to encourage students to build confidence and fluency. Yes, you will make many mistakes, but how else will you learn? With a warm and patient teacher like me you will learn from your mistakes in an open and supportive environment.

In my role as a English as a Foreign Language l teacher I have adopted a variety of pedagogical methods and materials to provide differentiated teaching and learning experiences, reflecting the needs and interests of individual students. By facilitating holistic and engaging inquiry-driven, student-centred learning experiences I encourage students to discover, explore and grow, in order to become independent, motivated and confident learners.

The teaching method and content will vary depending on the students that I am teaching. First we will take a look at your motivations for learning English, your abilities and preferred learning styles. Are you interested in learning English because you want to go travelling? Do you need to learn it for a job? Or to help you pass your exams? No matter the reason I am here to help you achieve all of your learning goals! I will use ongoing formative assessment to adjust lessons to your needs, and ensure you are improving your skills and getting the most out our time together.
