I am Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah. I hold a B.Sc. in Computer Science and I am currently studying M.Sc. Data and Information Science at TH Köln. I previously worked as a high school IT teacher (SST IT) with students from grades 6 to 12 for several years. My focus is on helping you feel safe to try: Computer Science becomes hard when it feels like one mistake means you are “wrong.” In my sessions, I help you slow down, understand what the task is really asking, and turn problems into repeatable steps so you are not guessing. I explain in plain language first, then we connect it to the formal words and methods your school uses. How I help you in each lesson (online): We start by checking what you already understand so we do not skip foundations or waste time on things you already know. Then we pick one main focus for the session so you leave with a clear “I can do this now” feeling, not a pile of half-finished topics. When something is confusing, I help you see the idea visually (sketches, simple examples, analogies) and we practice thinking out loud so your reasoning becomes visible, not hidden inside your head. If you bring schoolwork, I do not replace your thinking—I guide you with questions and hints so you learn the method, not just the answer. For programming-type tasks, I help you build confidence with errors: we read the message calmly, isolate the line, test small changes, and learn a simple debugging routine you can reuse later. For theory topics, I help you connect definitions to tiny examples you can remember. We close by summarizing in your words what clicked today and what still needs practice, and I suggest one small next step you can try on your own if you want extra practice—but the center of the lesson is always you doing the work with my support, not a long lecture from me.
