I have been teaching Mathematics, CBSE Curriculum, to students of grades 9 to 12 since the last twenty years. Since I am stationed in India, I would prefer to take online classes on days as per the requirement of the students. since I am working, it would be easy for me to take classes in the evening.
My students have shown excellent results in terms of marks, with few of them even scoring full marks while the others have performed very well scoring more than their own expectations.
My method of teaching is a simple one which enables students to feel comfortable, confident in myself and my teaching. This actually helps in understanding my students better and then according to their needs, I frame my lesson plans so that they truly understand the concepts with ease. Whether they need conceptual training or inquiry based lessons, it depends on the need of the topic.
Making students understand the most complex topics with examples, logic and then moving on to discuss the technique of solving the problems bit by bit, actually helps them.
Once I know that my students are following and putting in their efforts, I assign more questions to solve till they have mastered the concept. So initially, the process may appear a little slow but gradually it picks up pace. The more the student is exposed to problems, the more he develops critical thinking and finally is successful in solving problems all by hiself/herself.
At the end, the students feel interested and confident and finally, they can solve problems and move ahead in life without my help.
