Chinese Lessons That Actually Make Sense – For Children, Adults & Professionals

Learning Chinese doesn’t have to feel confusing or overwhelming. I offer fully personalized one-to-one lessons for both children and adults, including learners with business goals, academic needs, or HSK preparation. With over three years of teaching experience, an MA in Linguistics (Beijing University of Technology), and current studies in an Elite MA program at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU, GPA 1.65), I bring both academic depth and practical teaching experience into my lessons, including experience supporting Master’s and PhD students in their Chinese learning.

With over three years of teaching experience, an MA in Linguistics from Beijing University of Technology, and current studies in an Elite MA program in Standards of Decision-Making Across Cultures at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) (GPA 1.65), I combine academic expertise with practical teaching methods. Instead of relying on rote memorization, I help you understand Chinese as a structured system, focusing on character formation, tones, and the “building block” logic of the language, so that learning becomes intuitive and efficient.

I make characters vivid and memorable by explaining their internal logic and development, for example through simple and visual patterns such as “? ? ? ? ?”, supported by imagery and clear explanations. At the same time, I create an interactive and supportive learning environment using visual tools, colors, and the Zoom whiteboard, so you actively engage with the language rather than passively receive it.

I teach in both English (C1) and German (B2), and I can explain Chinese in ways that connect to your existing language knowledge, making even difficult concepts easier to grasp. My lessons focus on real-life communication, helping you not only speak correctly, but also appropriately and confidently in daily situations, professional contexts, and HSK exams.
